A childhood hobby that became the job
Wills Hardegree is from South Georgia and grew up fishing along the Intracoastal Waterway of Northeast Florida. That childhood love for fishing is what pushed him toward guiding.
He put in the hours. Countless days on the water, watching how redfish, trout, snook and flounder use the marsh through every stage of the tide, sharpened his angling and gave him a deep understanding of the local water.
After graduating from the University of Mississippi in 2022, he made it official. Captain Wills is USCG licensed and insured. Today Captain Wills is a full-time fishing guide, and Coastal Valley Charters is how he shares that knowledge with anyone who wants to experience fishing in Northeast Florida.
What a day with him is like
Energy, local knowledge and a laid-back boat. Every trip is tailored to the people on it. A seasoned angler can ask for sight fishing on the flats. A family with young kids gets calm water, quick bites and a patient teacher.
